Rekindle the Romance

Do you feel like you and your husband have hit a dead-end in your sex life?  Maybe you feel like there's no excitement or spark in the bedroom anymore?  It's not to say you don't love each other just as much, if not more than you did in the beginning of your marriage.  It seems the "wanting" is there but the timing is not.  Well you're not alone.  It happens in the best of marriages, especially today with so many other things going on in our lives - children, work (or lack there of), the economy.  Without even realizing it we put these things first and foremost in our lives and unfortunately don't leave much room for anything else, especially romance. 

Here are a few ideas to put that spark back in your sex life.  It doesn't have to be huge changes, just little things to fan the fire.  If you have children, ask a neighbor or a family member to keep them for a few hours.

1.  Have a date night - I know you've heard this a million times but it really does help.  It opens the line of communication between you and your husband.  Even if all you talk about are the kids then so be it.  At least you're talking!  Pencil in a date night for once a week or once a month, just mark the date on your calendar.  And ladies, wear something sexy under that little black dress.

2.  Romantic dinner at home - Prepare and cook the meal together - this can be very sensual (clothing optional).  If you opt for clothes, then ladies wear something sexy under that apron. 

3.  Massage - Light candles in your bedroom and give each other a full body massage.  There are all kinds of massage oils on the market today that are made just for this.  Use your imagination and pull out all the stops.  Believe me this is a great stress reducer!  And ladies, start off wearing something very sexy.  If things go as planned, you won't have it on long.

4.  Get a room - Plan a night that you can stay out all night and get a room with your husband.  It can be a surprise but personally I always like it when we both know when it will be because it adds to the excitement and anticipation.  Reserve the room on a Monday so that it gives you both something to look forward to all week.  It doesn't have to be a $300 a night hotel room, but I wouldn't suggest getting one that's $29.99 either.  And ladies be sure to wear something sexy!

Now, if you're wandering what exactly the "sexy" is I've talked about - it's lingerie.  The right lingerie will take it one step further and turn that spark into a flame (or hopefully a raging inferno)!  It adds the perfect touch to any date night, dinner at home, massage or get a room night.  I'm sure there are a lot of women out there that don't think lingerie is that important or that they would feel self conscience in front of their husbands, but I am telling you there is nothing farther from the truth!
